7:00 P.M. — Program

Where: UFCW Union Hall, 8530 Stanton Ave.,
Buena Park, CA 90620
From 91 Fwy West toward Los Angeles:
Take the Beach Blvd. Exit toward Buena Park
Turn LEFT onto Beach Blvd.
Turn LEFT onto Crescent
After crossing Stanton, turn RIGHT into the
parking lot. We?ll have signs up.

Christine Chavez is our speaker! She’s a
granddaughter of Cesar Chavez and has been
active in farm worker issues her whole life. She
now works for the US Dept of Agriculture on farm
worker outreach.

Silent Auction has some fabulous items:
tickets to Catalina, Third World Handarts items,
Gift Baskets, and more!

Dinner: $20 contribution per person with a
prepaid reservation, or $25 at the door.
Reservations for dinner are requested
by Tuesday, March 6.

All proceeds will be given to the United
Farm Workers. We must have a firm
count so that the correct amount of food
will be provided. Please indicate with the
check the names of the people who plan
to attend.

Transition Irvine Coming Soon

Many Slow Foodies are involved in the Transition movement and it is coming to more and more cities in Orange County.  Active Transition communities are already at work in Laguna Beach and Aliso Viejo, with Irvine coming next.  Here is info for those in the Irvine area:
