Family and Permaculture Garden Activities at the Irvine Ranch

January 30th, 2014 by Linda Elbert

The Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center is gearing up to offer Sunday Family Day here onsite on the second Sunday of every month. Bring your kids who can enjoy open shooting sports or riding the zip line with our trained staff. See our website for full details (iroec.webs.com).

While your kids enjoy their time outside, join us at the The Living Classroom for a series of workshops focused on Permaculture practices such as citrus pruning, composting, beekeeping and more. After our workshops families can come together for a craft session taught by our WWOOFers (check out wwoofusa.org) and finishing the evening with a community dinner hosted by the IROEC.

Our first of this series is scheduled for February 9th! Mark your calendars for the second Sunday of the month through May and look forward to another email with more details on workshop topics and dinner events.

Local Mandarian Orange Honey -BEES are responsible for pollinating 1/3 of the food you consume. Enjoy the fruit of their labor with a hint of Mandarin Orange from the IROEC’s citrus
