Support the Cottage Food Law
March 23rd, 2012 by Heather Westenhofer
The Cottage Food Law will be voted on by the California state legislature next week. This bill will allow entrepreneurs to use their home kitchens to prepare “non-potentially hazardous goods” such as bread, granola, candy and jam for retail sale. This is a HUGE step already taken by numerous other states in allowing small food businesses to start up without the exorbitant costs of building or renting commercial kitchen space. Please consider contacting your state assembly member and senator and letting him or her know how important this bill is.Â
