Slow Food Orange County’s first Snail of Appreciation Award will be presented to Vitaly, Maurizio Cocchi proprietor, on Friday, May 16, 6 PM, at the restaurant in the Camp on Bristol St. in Costa Mesa.
Slow Food Orange County’s Snail of Appreciation award recognizes that Vitaly sources local, organic ingredients in their artisanal creations: Piadina, Cassone, Gelato, and Pasta, that are based on centuries-old Italian recipes and traditions.
Vitaly shares this heritage by cooking in full view of its customers and explaining the techniques involved.
